None of our products are machine-made; they are all hand-made to recipes and standards I have set and perfected in my three decades of trapping and hunting. As a life-long trapper, I know what has works and what will produce results.

Late nights in my shop ...

For ingredients, I mimic the scents of the food each fur bearer finds irresistible in the wild. And there's a lot of late-night work in the shop that nobody sees, but which goes into each and every lure, bait and supply we make.

I pay attention to every detail. Just take this example: For fox urine sprays, I collect real fox urine from a fox farm. But not just any fox farm. I have a working relationship with a fox farm which has agreed to collect the urine only from fox which are fed a natural diet, so they produce a naturally-scented urine.

Every detail of my baits and lures are tended to with the same degree to attention and perfection.

All my lures are bottled in wax-sealed bottles to protect freshness and purity of the product. This helps give you the best quality.

Note: Names like "Muskrat Gold" and "Smear-It" are items which can be found
in our on-line catalog.

Muskrat ... Most of my muskrat are caught on the rivers and creeks. Bank pocket sets are the most popular of all the sets.  Even with all that swimming area, a lure will call them into your set.

Marshes usually offer a feed bed situation. This is where a lure really pulls them into certain directions.

My "Muskrat Gold" has caught more muskrats than any lure I have ever tried.

Mink ... No matter what lure you use, or what trap you set, always use a glandular lure. Pocket set, or blind set, a mink gland used sparingly will offer you more catches. 1997 was a big year for my mink customers; reports say "Mink Creek Food" and "Smear-It" were tops!

Raccoon ... A good dirt hole set can't be beat for coon. I stay with the sweet baits early. In the water, raccoon come to meaty, fish-type baits. In wet weather, I use smear baits, which are unsurpassed.

Beaver ... A good castor lure is important for open-water beaver, but a blend is also important. That's why I never stop using "Blanket Maker".... even under ice. Use under ice if there is an air pocket between the ice and the water; some ponds draw down for the winter.

Otter ... The best otter trapping comes as the river begins to close with ice. My "Otter Call" is not a bait, it's a "call." Otter will come to investigate when you use this lure. Set the trap in shallow open water, and use the lure on the ice around it.

Fox ... I always take plenty of fox each season. Dirt hole sets have been most most successful for me.

Coyote ... I trap coyote just like I do fox, but I use an #2 trap instead of a 1.75 coil. I believe in a messy set.

Fisher ... Fisher are not very intelligent animals, but bait helps. I believe in fisher meat, and my fisher paste. Fisher paste is all-natural and has taken fisher all the way into Canada.

Bobcat ... Our thick pasty "High Cat" lure calls in the bobcat where other methods fail.

Bear ... I see people using scent. But I recommend our "Bear Fear No More" along with "Anise Oil" for its wooded foods properties.

Deer ... "Balsam oil" is a good cover scent. Order it now; it never lasts long in our catalog. Try it with our "Buck Scent". And our "Buck Lure" has been our favorite to while deer are in rut. Rub it on surrounding trees for best effect. And I use "grunting" and "rattling" to help call in that big buck!

Weasel ... Bring the weasel into your set fast with "Winter White"...a gland with whole blood added to really get the weasel's attention.
